Ceramic-lined pipe elbows for highly abrasive media

The ceramic-lined pipe bends are used in highly abrasive media. A monolithically curved ceramic segment is inserted into a steel jacket with appropriate flange connections. The gap between the steel jacket and the ceramic is filled with a heat-resistant putty, which has a damping effect.The use of high-quality engineering ceramics and appropriate radius sizing ensures optimal wear protection.

Because the ceramic material is thin-walled, the pipe elbows can be manufactured to match the nominal diameter. This means that the ceramic pipe elbows can be retrofitted into existing systems without the need for piping modifications. Radii can be adjusted using appropriate leg extensions.
