The KBR valve is a particularly robust, metal ball valve designed for on/off operation in applications involving abrasive and highly abrasive media, and is ideally suited for the pneumatic conveyance of bulk materials.
Both the valve stem and the stem engagement mechanism, as well as the seats, are designed for exceptional stability. Pressure can be applied from either side. The operating principle is based on a floating ball (splined ball for sizes DN 150 and larger). The seat rings are pressed against the ball by graphite spring elements. The geometric shape of the ball passage is round as standard. The ball valve has a two-piece construction.
The valves are supplied with either a manual lever or gear, as well as with pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic actuators. All commercially available actuators are suitable for use as rotary actuators. Special connections are possible.
