Ceramic-lined conveyor shoes are the solution to wear problems in pneumatic conveying systems. When diverting solids from a vertical free-fall direction into a horizontal conveying direction, significant friction and turbulence occur, placing extreme stress on the duct material.
The main element of the conveyor shoe, the inlet elbow, can be manufactured monolithically from a single piece of ceramic using our technology. The ceramic linings are either completely jointless or the joints are arranged only perpendicular to the flow direction. As a result, there are no vulnerable points in the critical area where wear could set in.
The ceramic’s extreme hardness ensures that no material is abraded by the conveyed material. The result: significantly extended service life and maximum operational reliability.
